So Deeply She Cares

She cares so deeply at times I’m sure she feels my pain,

I sincerely pray said pain is muscles felt from today’s gain,

As I struggle to remove my boots she too joins my troubles,

Removal of clothing becomes a lovers waltz as pain doubles,

To be caressed in an accidental waltz is now savored forever,

Truly a waltz of love’s caring ways, I shall never allow to sever,

As she pulls my jeans across my swollen ankles she winces,

Caressing painful areas of swelling it’s the pain she senses,

It’s through her loving heart that empathy conveys in full,

I know this and other things of her love as I feel her love’s pull,

So fortunate I am that I endure such to avail of myself to her,

And I know these writings to be true as we have them to offer,

Together we convey years of experienced love to be seen,

Over five and one half decades of loving shown as one scene,

One continual chain of love without missing or damaged link,

True love once ignited shall burn much longer than you think,

Love when true shall last beyond the boundaries of time,

To fold when love’s hand seems dismal becomes a love crime,

When compassion brings a teardrop that’s to be seen by all,

Know that her heart has been touched deeply by love’s call,

I have seen my lover’s eyes fill with moisture because of me,

Too, I cried for her when loneliness of war lasted endlessly,

I pray she forever feels my loneliness, just solely, so she knows,

I pray she never knows my extremes of pain that never shows.

The end. Patti, I truly love you more than words can convey.
