From the shadows of my mind a future now present I find,<\/span><\/p>\n

Am I aged or is this an illusion created by my traveled mind,<\/span><\/p>\n

When last I looked there was a younger me within my face,<\/span><\/p>\n

It is most apparent no doubt that I am losing this lifetime race,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As exhaustion overwhelms my frame my mind succumbs too,<\/span><\/p>\n

Moving comes hard as does thoughts but for those of you,<\/span><\/p>\n

Where you have gone troubles my mind yet I remember where,<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m sure you know exhaustion has control or I would be there,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bring her back I plead of destiny as I know I have no control,<\/span><\/p>\n

To become rust of man is a sad feat but still I must pay the toll,<\/span><\/p>\n

I must appear well because I can see you approach the door,<\/span><\/p>\n

If I appear as such a broken man will you need me anymore,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I know you will as I know you need me also although not as bad,<\/span><\/p>\n

My shoulder has a place created by your head in the life I’ve had,<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s where you sleep at night as you restore me that I may go on,<\/span><\/p>\n

Though I am rust of man it’s with this beautiful angel I belong.<\/span><\/p>\n
