{"id":1766,"date":"2022-05-10T10:42:04","date_gmt":"2022-05-10T15:42:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.poemsforpatti.com\/love\/?p=1766"},"modified":"2022-08-14T10:43:34","modified_gmt":"2022-08-14T15:43:34","slug":"my-aged-dreams-of-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.poemsforpatti.com\/love\/2022\/05\/10\/my-aged-dreams-of-you\/","title":{"rendered":"My Aged Dreams of You"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Time has been my companion far too long when thought through,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Some credit time for their love however it\u2019s something I won\u2019t do,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Love caressed my soul from within, awaking my being into paradise,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Introduced into the kingdom of heaven by an angel before my eyes,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Love at first sight is a truth that is unknown to most everyone I know,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It is my truth as I have loved Patti upon first sight of her angelic glow,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Her beautiful hazel eyes sparkled in the evening light as if by magic,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">For two years I\u2019d bide my time, unable to express my love was tragic,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In my journey with time I\u2019d dream of her and think of her beauty,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Then time snatched me away by draft to perform my military duty,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Again I\u2019m biding time while my love for her continues to grow,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I strongly felt it to be true that she would be the only love I\u2019d know,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">After my honorable discharge she and I were finally able to date,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Time accelerated as loving her made each moment in my life great,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">To feel her tender lips each day is a blessing that is mine alone,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Her presence in my car transformed it into a chariot only I own,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">After she graduated from high school we at last were married,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Time has barely left enough time for the two children she carried,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It seemed a matter of minutes until they married and moved away,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Through it all our love has grown, I love her more deeply every day,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We have leapt through time to enter our senior years in love,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">My memories are mainly of love and the girl I always dream of,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I dreamed of her before we met and most every night since then,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I\u2019ve given my love and life to her in thanks for her love I live in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The end, by Pat for Patti<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Time has been my companion far too long when thought through, Some credit time for their love however it\u2019s something I won\u2019t do, Love caressed my soul from within, awaking my being into paradise, Introduced into the kingdom of heaven by an angel before my eyes, &nbsp;
