{"id":1690,"date":"2021-05-10T23:37:22","date_gmt":"2021-05-11T04:37:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.poemsforpatti.com\/love\/?p=1690"},"modified":"2021-05-10T23:37:22","modified_gmt":"2021-05-11T04:37:22","slug":"a-shortened-mothers-day-may-9-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.poemsforpatti.com\/love\/2021\/05\/10\/a-shortened-mothers-day-may-9-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"A Shortened Mother\u2019s Day (May 9, 2021)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">When I write a poem for you it\u2019s always very long,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Perhaps that\u2019s because my love is so very strong,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Words to describe loving you seem small when said,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">So many words of loving you are dancing in my head,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">You ask that my next rhyme be shorter in its form,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">That is so difficult to go against my style and norm,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Today I\u2019ll try very hard to shorten my love you rhyme,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Take every word of love multiplied a quadrillion time,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Then a lifetime of heartbeats times eternity or more,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">To measure the immeasurable love in my love reservoir,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Thanks a trillion or more for bringing our kiddos to earth,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">For Mother\u2019s Day wouldn\u2019t exist without a child\u2019s birth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The end.
