What kind of man am I to let events of life take control,<\/span><\/p>\n

Draft time warriors bound by law to fight or go on patrol,<\/span><\/p>\n

The next time I\u2019d see you I\u2019d worry if you had forgotten me,<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019d know my name but deny loves presence could be,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A haunting of my soul had transpired to effect how I feel,<\/span><\/p>\n

Sexual thoughts of beautiful you increased your appeal,<\/span><\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t mean a thing unless you\u2019d wait my return from war,<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s no other body or nobody I could ever want more,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There\u2019s something that is the sum of things I\u2019d fight for,<\/span><\/p>\n

The color of your hair or the color it was the time before,<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019re beautiful then but more beautiful each time I see,<\/span><\/p>\n

The perkiness of your sweet lips elevates a part of me,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I would look into your eyes so quickly it was never enough,<\/span><\/p>\n

I was mesmerized as my pupils absorbed all of your stuff,<\/span><\/p>\n

In the shelter of your arms I had become the leader of all,<\/span><\/p>\n

While in the surround of your aura I can not falter or fall,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It seems you kissed my lips and quickly ran away from me,<\/span><\/p>\n

Said I love you now I\u2019m aghast in wonderment can\u2019t you see,<\/span><\/p>\n

Can\u2019t you see the pain in my eyes or tears beginning to start,<\/span><\/p>\n

I yelled that aloud in my head since I was afraid you\u2019d part,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Although once I knew darkness as a castaway of chance,<\/span><\/p>\n

Never did my heart falter with sad beats of happenstance,<\/span><\/p>\n

Love goes on forever to mystify minds with mystery hearts,<\/span><\/p>\n

In a far off land she cried wondering if he was blown apart,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Could have sworn I once heard you\u2019d cried for me the same,<\/span><\/p>\n

I had to clear my head before returning to give you my name,<\/span><\/p>\n

When you last held me I had cried afraid my time had expired,<\/span><\/p>\n

Just yesterday I thought thoughts of such now I am retired,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fifty years have passed us by while love blessed us whole,<\/span><\/p>\n

Seems I\u2019ve loved you for so long and so much you\u2019re my soul,<\/span><\/p>\n

All along the distant shore wayward loves cast out the blame,<\/span><\/p>\n

Can\u2019t they hear broken hearted lovers sing out much the same,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yet you and I have passed so many we\u2019ve known to sink away,<\/span><\/p>\n

A gift given you by me and gifted me by you was love each day,<\/span><\/p>\n

Every remaining moment should be shared in love from within,<\/span><\/p>\n

Feelings of love grow every day for you as you\u2019re where I begin.<\/span><\/p>\n
