My heart beats heavy at times but not an affliction is the cause,<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a confused state of mind that injects flummox bringing pause,<\/span><\/p>\n

The word flummox fell from my mind to show my bewildered state,<\/span><\/p>\n

Only you can befuddle me so that I used pause instead of hesitate,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If truth is told I used both perhaps misunderstood is where I stood,<\/span><\/p>\n

Only you can conflict my mind or is infliction to be misunderstood?<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps I\u2019ll drift from this place in search of the solace I once knew,<\/span><\/p>\n

How can I be in this place as I\u2019ve had a lifetime of comfort from you?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But years have come and quickly passed as they mounted high,<\/span><\/p>\n

When we married the excitement of a little boy made this man fly,<\/span><\/p>\n

Excitement that a boy like me was married to the goddess I saw,<\/span><\/p>\n

From toe tip to nose tip and more I adored the girl without a flaw,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A Greek Goddess it was said had passed her beauty to human you,<\/span><\/p>\n

Fill you with the sweetness of a candy store but spice your lips too,<\/span><\/p>\n

So sweet but filled with tart words of fun with a mean streak in full,<\/span><\/p>\n

Words so strong that once is enough yet you inflict with a bucketful,<\/span><\/p>\n

So many years ago glee filled my mind as your beauty overcame me,<\/span><\/p>\n

Truly beautiful through and through and each look gave me more glee,<\/span><\/p>\n

A six year old filled with candy n\u2019 sodas took over my twenties brain,<\/span><\/p>\n

Joy of a young man\u2019s heart shared with all went against your grain,<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s wrong with you that you say those things as if I\u2019m a shiny toy,<\/span><\/p>\n

My toes tripped on smooth air or was it the tongue of a twenties boy?<\/span><\/p>\n

A mouth as big as mine must contain a tongue that\u2019s too big to stay,<\/span><\/p>\n

Once my tongue fills with thoughts words spew forth with lots to say,<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes I spewed forth words of your beauty describing most every part,<\/span><\/p>\n

But know each word I said of you was said with love from my heart,<\/span><\/p>\n

I love you so and always have it seems I was born already loving you,<\/span><\/p>\n

I first saw you when you were twelve and knew I\u2019d marry you, it\u2019s true,<\/span><\/p>\n

But true love struck my heart with Cupid\u2019s arrow when I was eighteen,<\/span><\/p>\n

Every morning since that day my first thoughts have made me gleam,<\/span><\/p>\n

That day the heart of no other man could hold the love I held for you,<\/span><\/p>\n

Each day at least three times an hour I feel such need to say it loud,<\/span><\/p>\n

The draft stole away precious youth and what was left is what I am,<\/span><\/p>\n

I ask you my angel, my darling wife, when last did a kiss ignite fire?<\/span><\/p>\n

When last I ask of you, did you tease me and expect a kiss of desire?<\/span><\/p>\n
