I use to sit in church and dream, I\u2019d be dreaming of you,<\/span><\/p>\n

I still do, anytime anyplace, no matter what I still do,<\/span><\/p>\n

Many places my old bones have roamed with you near,<\/span><\/p>\n

My flame, the one my heart beats with, you are my dear,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As sea shores weather the storm I weathered too much,<\/span><\/p>\n

Beaten down and washed away I shouldn\u2019t reveal such,<\/span><\/p>\n

Turn on the radio and interrupt thoughts of hard days,<\/span><\/p>\n

Too many protest oldies returns me to wars nasty haze,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

No your sister didn\u2019t lie and your mama didn\u2019t believe,<\/span><\/p>\n

Your mama read my letters but wasn\u2019t willing to retrieve,<\/span><\/p>\n

Tears fell from hardship eyes lost for too long in a mess,<\/span><\/p>\n

My heart barely survived but for a glimmer of hope I confess,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today I\u2019m still burdened with pains that last too long,<\/span><\/p>\n

You are timeless in eyes that seems to cry with a song,<\/span><\/p>\n

Somehow I\u2019m going to find the vision that\u2019s fading away,<\/span><\/p>\n

You are timeless in a heart that sees an angel every day,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019m here at the beginning of the end every time it starts,<\/span><\/p>\n

Things keep slowing down then become broken parts,<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunshine is you no doubt please shine upon me tonight,<\/span><\/p>\n
