Chasing fireflies one night with a full moon above the rise, <\/span><\/p>\n

Worries of heart escaped one by one with count of the flies, <\/span><\/p>\n

A setting sun and a rising moon on opposite sides of the earth, <\/span><\/p>\n

With a rebirth of happiness I wondered what is a firefly’s worth, <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On a warm September night I saw your image high in the sky, <\/span><\/p>\n

Yes I was playing like a child watching clouds float I won’t deny, <\/span><\/p>\n

As I laid on my back to watch the cloud of you drift slowly by, <\/span><\/p>\n

The purity of love engulfed me with sensations making me cry, <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Soon fireflies and butterflies of the evening were dancing in air, <\/span><\/p>\n

As each thought of my past came through I found I didn’t care, <\/span><\/p>\n

Because of you I’m filled with love and said farewell to despair, <\/span><\/p>\n

In but thirty seconds of joy I’ve realized this is the face I’ll wear, <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fireflies and butterflies dance but a minute or two as the sunsets, <\/span><\/p>\n

Then I wondered do butterflies leaving the night carry any regrets, <\/span><\/p>\n

Thinking that firefly was so cute I wish I had taken just one chance, <\/span><\/p>\n

Tomorrow with courage I swear I’ll ask that glowing firefly to dance, <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Upon realizing I was once that butterfly and you were the light I saw, <\/span><\/p>\n

So happy I had the courage to ask you out although I had many a flaw, <\/span><\/p>\n

Then a light came on to awaken me that I was asked out by a cute firefly, <\/span><\/p>\n

Each time I was lost you found my soul to tell me you were standing by. <\/span><\/p>\n
